Dr. Walsh has the most advanced diagnostic equipment in his office. Every new patient will have a computerized surface EMG spinal nerve scan, which shows if the patient has pinched nerves due to vertebral subluxations (misaligned spinal bones). The patient will receive a copy of their results so that they may share it with family and friends. More nerve scans will be done periodically as the patient progresses through treatment in order to help the doctor assess the patient's progress. These nerve tests are painless and only take a few minutes. Spinal x-rays may be necessary, and if so, the x-rays will be taken right in the office.  

Laying the foundation

Chiropractic care is like building a house – certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully.
